Nineteen of Daniil Medvedev's 21 championships have been earned on hard surfaces
A resurgent Medvedev won his maiden championship for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open final.
The athlete, a former number one, has had a difficult season, winning just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
His inconsistency on the tennis tour - and difficulties with his service game in particular - led to him exiting of the elite rankings and eventually parting ways with former coach Gilles Cervara.
Presently collaborating with his coach and Goetzke, Medvedev has consistently advanced in the recent weeks - culminating in a closely contested three-set win over Frenchman Moutet.
This marks the player's maiden title after the Italian tournament and maiden on a hard surface since March of the previous year.
Success also indicates the Russian has secured twenty-one titles at 21 various events.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters together, so to get a championship is really nice," said tennis professional Medvedev.
"This championship is in tribute of my child Victoria, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter her name was born was for her."
The tennis star, the former major winner, had been defeated in his previous six championship matches, featuring in Halle in the past months.
Medvedev's retrieving strategy and recurring emotional displays on the playing surface had caused commentators to doubt if his capacity to play at the elite level was concluded.
Yet the player has altered his approach in recent weeks, making an effort to come to the net and perform assertively, reinforced by an better serve.
The champion fought back from a break down in the opening set against the difficult opponent, winning 4 of the last five exchanges to go ahead.
The competitors swapped break points in the middle set before the Frenchman, attempting for his maiden ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to force a final set.
The opponent saved four early chances in a tight deciding set before the champion secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Fittingly, he clinched the win with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to manage a shot after a lengthy match.
